Directions

The conference venue is Monte Verità conference centre hotel complex can accommodate 86 guests and is reserved for participants of IGGSy during the time of the meeting (July 3 - 7). Once you have completed your registration by paying the registration fee, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing a booking link and a conference ID, which will allow you to book your accommodation at the hotel complex. All guest rooms are in walking distance from the Monte Verità conference centre.

Closest Airports

The airports closest to Ascona are Zurich and Milan. Both airpoarts are well connected to Ascona by train and can be reached by many airlines. While the duration for train connections from either airport is comparable, connecting from Milan is usually more cost effective. Please note, however, that the train from Milan crosses a country boarder. The closest train station to Ascona is in Locarno. You can further connect to Ascona using public transport or taxi (see below).

Arriving by car

Exit Ascona/Losone. Continue on Viale Monte Verità (direction Ascona Center). Turn right onto Strada Collina and follow the directions to Monte Verità. Free parking spaces.

Bus Nr. 1 (timetable) from Locarno railway station to Ascona (stop Ascona Posta) and then Bus Nr. 5 ("Buxi") from Ascona to Monte Verità (timetable)
